African Shade's workshop is near the coastal holiday town of Plettenberg Bay
on South Africa's scenic Garden Route, one of the most beautiful places on
planet earth. It is also an area rich in timber resource, which makes sense
for our factory location.
"Plett", as it is known by the locals, is five hours drive from Cape Town
and draws tens of thousands of tourists from across the globe every year.
The area boasts scenic mountains, protected indigenous forests, clean ocean
and brilliant beaches, and the unspoiled coastline is something to behold.
