Thatch Roof Garden Swing

African Shade's thatch roof garden swing is the company's flagship product and still our best seller. This is the ultimate garden swing. Beautifully made, strong, functional, comfortable and such a good looker it's a guaranteed asset to any style of garden.

It's a known fact that a gentle rocking soothes the nerves and relaxes the body and mind. And what better place to do it than in the sanctuary and privacy of your own garden on one of African Shade's unique swings.

An optional extra is an ethnic print cushion set for your swing. The cushion set adds comfort and if you're lucky enough to get the swing to yourself for an hour or two, a nice lie-down for a power nap becomes a distinct and tempting possibility. The cushion covers are made from pure upholstery cotton and can be washed.

The swing was the first in a range of outdoor living products designed and patented by African Shade managing director Wade Simleit. The only place you can get one is from us!

Like all our products, we will deliver and assemble your swing exactly where you want it in your garden. All you have to do is sit down and enjoy!

The swing requires a fairly level area 10ft long by 4ft wide. The canopy legs are treated to prevent rot at point of contact withthe ground, so the swing can stand on the lawn if required. The swing bench is high enough off the ground to allow most mowers underneath.

Table and Bench Set

The quality and aesthetic appeal of the table and bench sets speak volumes for themselves. While African Shade markets primarily as an outdoor furniture company, these sets can of course be used in the dining room as well.

As with all African Shade furniture, our carpenters retain the natural character of the individual tree in the manufacture of every set. Although the structural design is repeated, no two sets are alike, just as no two trees can ever be the same.

An area of 11 foot by eight foot is required to accommodate the African Shade table and bench set. We are also able to custom make your set to fit almost any shape and size. Please contact us with your requirements.

Thatch Roof Gazebo

Unlike metal and glass, wood is friendly and warm. And with timber used in such generous quantities as we do in the making of the African Shade gazebo table and bench set, you can't get friendlier or warmer. No single plank is less than 60mm thick, from the table top all the way to the bench leg, and some parts are considerably thicker. Couple all that wood with the thatch canopy, and the result is a remarkably cosy place to entertain guests or enjoy family dinners on a fine summer evening.

As with all African Shade furniture, emphasis is placed on retaining the rustic beauty and natural character of the individual tree in the manufacture of every gazebo table and bench set. The result is that no two sets are the same.

The standard set seats six with the option of adding another two benches at the table ends, comfortably allowing another two (or four at a squeeze) people to join the party.

Like all our products, we will deliver and assemble your gazebo table and bench set exactly where you want it in your garden. All you have to do is sit down and enjoy!

The gazebo table and bench set requires a level area 8'6" by 6'6". The gazebo set legs are treated to prevent rot at point of contact with the ground, but it is preferable to place the set on paving slabs or a timber deck. This makes for easier maintenance of your lawn around the set.
